Welcome to South Downs Nordic Walking.
We are a friendly bunch of Nordic Walkers who love walking in the Meon Valley area of the South Downs. We are all about improving our fitness in the great outdoors and meeting up with other like-minded-walkers.
Nordic Walking is fantastic for toning up the whole body and burns up to 40% more calories than walking without Nordic Walking poles. It’s also great for cardiovascular fitness, it basically it gets you out of breath! And because we are using poles, pressure is taken off of the knees and hips and distributed across the whole of the body, making it a true all-over-body exercise, without you really noticing it.
We offer FREE Nordic Walking taster sessions where we will show you what Nordic Walking is all about. We will provide you with a set of poles, all you need is a pair of comfy walking shoes. We have several dates available throughout the year. Or if you have a group of friends or are part of social group and would like a be-spoke free taster session on a date and time to suit yourselves, please do give me a call.
If you wish to progress from a taster session, join one of our Beginners Workshops where you will learn the Nordic Walking technique in-depth.
And for those who have grasped the technique, we hold social Nordic Walks in the gorgeous Meon Valley area of the South Downs.
