Welcome to our Nordic Walking Group!
We are a friendly bunch of Nordic Walkers who love walking in the Meon Valley area of the South Downs. We are all about outdoor fitness and social walking.
Nordic Walking is fantastic for toning up the whole body and burns up to 40% more calories than walking without Nordic Walking poles. It’s also great for cardiovascular fitness, it basically it gets you out of breath! And because we are using poles, pressure is taken off of the knees and hips and distributed across the whole of the body, making it a true all-over-body exercise, without you really noticing it!
We offer free Nordic Walking taster sessions where we will teach you how to get started with a set of Nordic Walking poles. If you wish to progress from a taster session, join one of our Beginners Workshops where you will learn the Nordic Walking technique in-depth.
And for those who have grasped the technique, we shall be holding social Nordic Walks in the gorgeous Meon Valley area of the South Downs. We shall also be putting on the occasional walk without poles.
